Parkko ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Parkko mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.
When you sign in with Google, we receive:
We do not receive or store your Google password. For the admin panel, we use Microsoft Entra ID authentication.
Parkko uses your device's location to detect parking events automatically. This is the core functionality of the App.

Important: We do NOT continuously track your location. The App uses geofencing, which means the operating system only notifies the App when you enter or leave a predefined parking zone. Your location is checked briefly during these events to confirm parking or departure.
The App uses your device's motion sensors to determine your activity (e.g., driving, walking, stationary). This helps us distinguish between a driver parking and a pedestrian walking through a zone, prevent false parking detections, and determine when you have left your parked vehicle. Activity recognition runs entirely on your device. We do not collect raw sensor data.

Aggregated, anonymized availability data (e.g., "Zone X has 5 spots available") is visible to all App users. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

Parkko is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
